Hi, I’m Helen! Owner of The Waxed Co!
I have been a fully qualified Beauty Therapist since 2007 and have been a specialist waxer since 2015. I have worked in salons across Manchester & Stockport and now solely work for myself from a lovely clean and cosy room in a gorgeously friendly salon - Project Beauty based in Cheadle Heath.
I was born and raised in Manchester and now live in Stockport with my partner, our two kids, two cats and Hissy the snake (I'd like to add a dog to the mix but the Mr. has vetoed that idea!).
I have been described as warm, welcoming and real. I'm naturally very chatty and easy-going. I don't do surface-level, I like to build relationships, not just a client list. People come to me not just to remove hair but because they trust me.
My ethos is about creating a safe, judgement-free space where people can feel confident in their skin, trust in my expertise, and maybe even have a good laugh while getting waxed! I believe in making waxing not just bearable - but something people actually look forward to.
I'm meticulous with my technique but still try to make the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. I treat intimate waxing with the same ease and professionalism as a eyebrow tidy. I hope that normalisation of an intimate wax makes people feel safer and less self-conscious.
I don't consider myself to be just a waxer - I'm an advocate for the long-term benefits of male and female intimate waxing. I genuinely believe that waxing isn't just about hair removal, it's about confidence, self-care and body acceptance. I educate my clients on the benefits, proper aftercare and the importance of consistency for the best results.

My Own Waxing Journey
I got in to waxing purely by chance. I was having my own waxing done and having built a good rapport with my waxer, she knew all about how much I disliked my office job. I commented on how much I’d enjoyed waxing whilst training and she recommended I get my intimate waxing qualification and then offered me a job! I’ve been waxing ever since and love my job more than ever. I've completed lots of training courses over the years and am dedicated to constantly improving my skills and improving my knowledge so you get the best intimate wax coupled with the best aftercare advice for the best results.
